As a stay at home mother for 14 years, I hadn’t realised how much the market had changed or how much I had to offer that market when I finally decided to get back in to work. To say I was lacking in confidence is a complete understatement! My meetings with Neslyn were inspirational. Through her use of occupational psychometrics and also general conversation, some questioning and visualization (including her amazing “One Command®” - very esoteric but do not underestimate its power!) she focused my energies, spotlighted what my strengths are (including how I fit in to a team) and showed me that every experience in life is valuable. I was about to enter a workplace and seriously undervalue myself – something that would take me years to recover, if ever, but Neslyn showed me how to approach that new challenge with confidence and security in my own worth, with a clear focus and an absolute belief in who I am and what I have to offer. A little over a month later I am traveling internationally in my dream job (travel journalism), stretching myself to my full potential, secure and truly happy.
A large part of my ability to secure this position was due to my newfound self-image, self-belief and confidence which was as a direct result of Neslyn’s insight and focused guidance. She is an inspiration for anyone, but especially if you have been out of the marketplace or feel yourself to be undervalued. It takes an investment of your time, but that small investment pays back in dividends.
Apart from my pay cheque, what price can you put on personal fulfilment and satisfaction?
I have known Dr. Watson-Druee for the last three years as my executive coach. She is an excellent coach and I have personally benefitted from the coaching I have received, which has been impactful and has made a massive difference in my career and personal life. I am not from a privileged background and started my career (30+ years ago) from a fairly low level of social mobility. Dr Neslyn’s strong, challenging and incisive coaching style has really pushed me to raise my game and confidence levels and inspired me to achieve more than I thought would be possible in my career. She is exceptionally talented, experienced and brings the benefit of that experience to bear when guiding me through some of the challenges I have faced. Dr Neslyn is selfless and over her career has given so much to help other regardless of the personal impact to herself.
